BOSTON – The New England Legal Foundation (NELF – www.newenglandlegal.org), the leading legal advocate for free enterprise and innovation in the region, has appointed Chenelle Brown as VLO Project Director for the Equalizer Institute. In this role, Chenelle will head the Equalizer Institute’s Virtual Law Office (VLO) project to develop the AI-powered platform that will serve as the principal operating tool for potential clients, clients, pro bono counsel, staff counsel, referring partners, law student interns and business education partners involved in the Equalizer Institute. When completed, the VLO will be available to any region of the United States where people hunger for a fair shot at the American Dream.

As principal of CB Strategies, Chenelle Brown operates at the crossroads of politics, communications and corporate social responsibility. She advises politicians, corporate executives and non-profit leaders on community and stakeholder engagement, legislative developments and political opportunities. Chenelle has served in the D.C. Office of Congressional Black Caucus Chairwoman Karen Bass (D,CA-33) , and has a been recognized by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation as an “Emerging Leader”. Chenelle has served on the executive board of the Alliance for Business Leadership and held committee assignments at both Citizens Housing and Planning Association (CHAPA) and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP)-Boston Branch.

Chenelle has diverse career experience having worked in the public, private and non-profit sectors and consulted for small “start-up” clients. She has a proven track record of developing strategic partnerships that generate new business opportunities, deliver critical resources to those in need, or advance legislative and political campaigns. Chenelle has successfully advocated for legislation at the federal and state level and has helped manage company-wide corporate social responsibility initiatives at a national firm.

“Chenelle’s extensive experience in strategic partnership development and her keen grasp of how legal services can promote economic justice make her the ideal candidate to head our Virtual Law Office,” noted NELF President Dan Winslow. “The VLO will be integral to the Equalizer Institute’s mission to ensure that historically marginalized entrepreneurs across the country have access to the American Dream.”
