Frank Licata
President
Licata Risk Advisors

BOSTON – The New England Legal Foundation (NELF – www.newenglandlegal.org), the leading legal advocate for free enterprise and innovation in the region, is proud to announce the appointment of Frank Licata to its Massachusetts Advisory Council.

Frank Licata is the president of Licata Risk Advisors, a risk & insurance advisory and management firm. He consults with businesses and public entities to help them understand risk, reduce the cost of risk and turn risk to competitive advantage. This includes the management of property and casualty insurance programs.

Frank’s risk management career spans over 20 years, with his most recent prior position involving a decade-long engagement with the country’s largest independent risk management consulting firm.

He is the past president of the Massachusetts Society of Licensed Insurance Advisers, and has (or has had) numerous honors, designations and positions including:

  • CPCU (Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter) designation
  • President, Boston Chapter, CPCU Society
  • President, Casualty and Property Underwriters Association of Boston
  • President, MA Society of Licensed Insurance Advisors
  • President, Licata Hayes Insurance Agency, Inc.
  • Adjunct Faculty, Finance Department, Babson College, Wellesley, MA
  • Adjunct Faculty, Finance Department, Bentley College, Waltham, MA
  • Chair, Technology Committee, MA Society of Licensed Insurance Advisers
  • Member and Program Chair, MA Chapter, The Risk & Insurance Management Society (RIMS)
  • Risk Management Advisor, The Electronic Commerce Architecture Program, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
  • Former Editor, The Albert Advisor, a publication of J.H. Albert International Insurance Advisors, Inc., Needham, MA and Workers’ Compensation Cost Control, a publication of Quinlan Publishing Co., Boston, MA

Frank loves the idea of leveling the playing field, putting clients on the same footing as the large insurers, and making sure his clients are not victims of the bureaucracy which is the insurance industry.

NELF President Dan Winslow congratulated Frank on his appointment and noted, “We are overjoyed to welcome Frank to our Massachusetts Advisory Council. His extensive career experience and leadership abilities will make him a great addition to our leadership ranks.”
