Adler Pollock & Sheehan Shareholder Nicole Benjamin Has Been Appointed to the Rhode Island Advisory Council of The New England Legal Foundation

BOSTON – Adler Pollock & Sheehan (AP&S) Shareholder Nicole Benjamin, President-Elect of the Rhode Island Bar Association, has been appointed to the Rhode Island Advisory Council of the New England Legal Foundation,  (NELF – www.newenglandlegal.org), the leading non-profit public interest law firm in the region dedicated to addressing policy and Constitutional concerns related to free enterprise.

Ms. Benjamin is a litigator who has been recognized for her successes in complex commercial litigation and appellate advocacy. She has tried high-stakes litigation and represents public and private companies in federal and state court.  She has defended multi-district litigation and class actions, and she has defended clients against antitrust, breach of contract, business tort, employment, intellectual property, products liability and toxic tort claims. She has also represented state departments, state general officers and municipalities in matters of significant public importance, including constitutional challenges to government actions.

Working out of the Providence AP&S office, Ms. Benjamin also has represented state departments, state general officers and municipalities in matters of significant public importance, including constitutional challenges to government actions.

In addition to her trial court practice, Ms. Benjamin regularly represents clients on appeal, drawing on her experience clerking for the Chief Justice of the Rhode Island Supreme Court.  She has successfully briefed and argued cases in the First and Third Circuits and the Rhode Island Supreme Court.
