Beantown Beanfest™ Announces Vendors, Entertainment and More For the Free Festival on June 24

(BOSTON) June 14, 2023 – Beantown Beanfest is gearing up for the first-annual festival dedicated Boston’s namesake, the bean, on June 24 from 11am-5pm on the Rose Kennedy Greenway. The festival today announced the lineup of vendors, entertainment, sponsors and more that will fill the free festival with fun for everyone. Beanfest will feature an array of food vendors from across the region representing different ethnic cuisines, whose common thread is to highlight their unique bean renditions. Ranging from cocoa and vanilla beans to chickpeas and Boston baked beans, there’s sure to be a bean food that everyone can enjoy!
“We are so excited about the vendors, entertainers and partners who have come together for our inaugural Beantown Beanfest,” said Christina Knowles, Executive Director, Beantown Beanfest. “We are showcasing local small businesses that are the foundation of the economy from every neighborhood and community throughout the area. They are all helping to raise awareness about the Equalizer Institute through their participation in this first-ever event in Boston.”

Beantown Beanfest will support the Equalizer Institute, a social economic justice initiative of the New England Legal Foundation that will provide free corporate legal aid to entrepreneurs from underrepresented communities to help them start their businesses.

“The inaugural Beantown Beanfest will lift the small business community, draw attention and support to the Equalizer Institute and provide Boston residents and visitors with a fun, festive day on the Rose Kennedy Greenway. “After years of the pandemic impacting residents, visitors and businesses alike, we are thrilled to provide a day for the city to come together and enjoy food, activities and music at a free event open to everyone,” said Knowles.
