Biotech General Counsel Appointed to New England Legal Foundation’s Massachusetts Advisory Council

BOSTONNew England Legal Foundation President Dan Winslow announced today the appointment of Kevin O’Connor, Vice President and General Counsel of ChemGenes Corporation to NELF’s Massachusetts Advisory Council. “As General Counsel of a biotech company, Kevin brings a valuable perspective to our work to assure that the biotech sector can help shape legal decisions that impact the industry and jobs.”

O’Connor is the Vice President and General Counsel at ChemGenes Corporation, a Boston based Biotech company, who partners with researchers engaged in the field of DNA/RNA synthesis. Kevin has been a leader in the Massachusetts legal community for 30 years, and has served on the Executive Committee of the Boston Bar Association Council, Co-Chaired the BBA’s Business LItigation Committee, and was appointed a founding member of the BBA’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee. He is a longstanding Fellow of the Boston Bar Foundation, and the 2020 Co-Chair of the BBF’s John and Abigail Adams Ball. He has been recognized by Chambers USA as one of America’s Best Business Litigators. “I am excited to rejoin the New England Legal Foundation in a leadership role. There is a new energy, and a heightened sense of purpose as NELF advocates for free enterprise and inclusive growth. I am looking forward to lending a shoulder to the effort,” said O’Connor.
