Colin Owyang Appointed to New England Legal Foundation Vermont Advisory Council

Franklin Energy General Counsel and Head of Strategy to Advise on Free Enterprise Issues

MONTPELIER – New England Legal Foundation President Dan Winslow today announced that Colin Owyang, former General Counsel at National Grid and now General Counsel and Head of Strategy at Franklin Energy, has been appointed to NELF’s Vermont Advisory Council. Owyang is a resident of Vermont.

NELF has an Advisory Council in each New England state, consisting of senior in-house counsel, business leaders, and law firm partners that act as the executive committee for the NELF membership in each state. The Councils advise NELF on proposed or pending litigation in each state to promote free enterprise, defend property rights, advocate for good and limited government, and foster inclusive growth. Owyang joins other Vermont Advisory Council members from diverse industries such as insurance, food service, energy, technology, and legal sectors of the Vermont economy.

“We are thrilled to have Colin rejoin the New England Legal Foundation in Vermont, following his earlier Board service while he was the General Counsel at National Grid,” said NELF President Dan Winslow.  “We plan to increase our Advisory Council activities and memberships in each New England state in the upcoming year,” noted Winslow.

Persons interested in being considered for appointment to a NELF Advisory Council from a New England state can send an email stating their interest and background to info@newenglandlegal.org.
