Boston, MA (October 1, 2024) –The New England Legal Foundation (NELF) is proud to announce the appointment of Natalie Logan as its new President and as the Executive Director of The Equalizer Institute, a new social economic justice initiative that will provide free corporate legal services to historically underserved, under-represented and under-resourced entrepreneurs—breaking down barriers to their achievement of the American dream.

Natalie Logan brings over a decade of experience as a highly accomplished legal advisor and executive leader. With a proven track record of advising senior management teams and boards of directors on a wide range of complex business, legal, strategic, and risk management issues, Ms. Logan is poised to lead both NELF and The Equalizer Institute into their next chapter of growth and impact.

Prior to joining NELF, Ms. Logan served as Chief Legal Officer at Accession Risk Management Group, a national insurance and risk management firm, where she led a team of 15 legal professionals and helped grow the company from $300 million to $1.7 billion in just five years. Her leadership extended beyond legal services as she also served as an executive sponsor of Accession’s Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) Council, where she championed DEI and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues.

“I am truly honored to join NELF and lead The Equalizer Institute at such a pivotal time,” said Ms. Logan. “This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by empowering underserved entrepreneurs and advancing inclusive economic growth across New England. I look forward to working with the talented teams at NELF and The Equalizer Institute to break down barriers, champion free enterprise, and create pathways for success for those who need it most. Together, we can drive transformative change in both the legal and business landscapes.”

Before her role at Accession, Ms. Logan was a partner at Kirkland & Ellis, where she specialized in advising private equity firms and their portfolio companies on corporate, transactional, and securities matters. She began her legal career as an associate at Ropes & Gray.

Ms. Logan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Oregon, where she graduated summa cum laude. She earned her Juris Doctorate cum laude from Boston University School of Law. Ms. Logan is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel and the Women’s Bar Association.

In addition to welcoming Ms. Logan, NELF extends its heartfelt gratitude to Dan Winslow, who served as President for the past three years. Under Dan’s leadership, NELF underwent a significant transformation, expanding its reach and impact in the legal community and driving innovative initiatives like The Equalizer Institute. His vision and dedication have left an indelible mark on the organization, and NELF is deeply grateful for his service and leadership.
