New England Legal Foundation Appoints Latham & Watkins Counsel Steven J. Pacini to its Massachusetts Advisory Council
BOSTON – The New England Legal Foundation (NELF – www.newenglandlegal.org) has appointed Latham & Watkins Counsel Steven J. Pacini to its Massachusetts Advisory Council. Attorney Pacini handles complex commercial disputes and litigation for clients ranging from emerging company founders to leading global market companies and private equity firms, with a focus on the life sciences and technology sectors. He also represents individual investors.
NELF Advisory Councils help develop the Foundation’s positions on public policy matters and often recommend legal advocacy for consideration by NELF’s Board of Directors on issues of importance to the region’s economy. The Advisory Councils also host speakers of interest to their particular sector of the economy at locations convenient to members in each state.
Pacini represents clients in disputes related to a range of issues, including: M&A agreements, commercial partnerships, preferred stock financings, and related equity arrangements; rights and responsibilities under operating and partnership agreements (under both Massachusetts and Delaware law); post-closing purchase price adjustments; milestone and earnout payments; stock option agreements, executive departures, and other employment matters; business torts, including unfair competition and defamation claims; insurance recovery matters; trade secrets and trademarks; as well as class actions.
