NELF Welcomes Law Clerk Michael Jean-Louis as Newest “Faberman Fellow”

Faberman Fellow

BOSTON – The New England Legal Foundation (NELF – www.newenglandlegal.org) announces the appointment of Boston College Law student Mike Jean-Louis as the organization’s newest “Faberman Fellow”. “NELF is proud to welcome an entrepreneurial and hard-working law student such as Mike to our distinguished Faberman Fellowship program,” noted NELF President Dan Winslow. “We have no doubt that he will provide significant value in advancing our mission of economic liberty.”

Mike Jean-Louis is a second-year law student on the rise at Boston College Law School. He currently serves as the Community Chair Director for the Black Law Student Association, actively participates in the school’s Immigration Clinic, and holds memberships in various other school organizations. During the summer of 2023, he served as a fellow for the Office of Black Male Advancement at Boston City Hall, and earlier in the year, he interned for O’Neill and Associates. Mike graduated from Emmanuel College in 2023, having spent his undergraduate years as a dedicated student-athlete and resident assistant.

NELF created “Faberman Fellowships” to award stipends to student law clerks who assist with legal research, writing and thought leadership to advance the mission of free enterprise, property rights, limited government based on rule of law, and inclusive growth in New England. The fellowships were created in memory of the NELF’s Board Vice Chair and Progress Software Chief Legal Officer, Steve Faberman, who passed away last year after a long illness. The Faberman Fellowship is funded by Steve’s many loving friends, family and colleagues in his honor.
