BOSTON – Six highly accomplished individuals with diverse backgrounds have been elected unanimously to the Board of Directors of the New England Legal Foundation (NELF – www.newenglandlegal.org), the leading non-profit public interest law firm in the region dedicated to addressing issues of law and policy related to free enterprise. They are

Elisabeth Ditomassi, the former Chief Compliance Officer for the Americas for insurance and reinsurance company AXA XL, and the former General Counsel of the MA Division of Insurance as well as general counsel of a global specialty lines insurer. She is the author of the book Fundamentals of Insurance Regulation: The Rules and the Rationale
Chad Higgins, a litigation partner at the Portland, ME, office of Bernstein Shur. Higgins has deep experience advocating for clients in both state and federal courts across the country and is experienced in a broad range of industries, including energy, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, consumer products, and higher education.
Sienna Leis, who oversees venture development for Mass Ventures, a quasi-public entity founded in 1978 as a venture capital firm focused on fueling the Massachusetts innovation economy by funding early-stage, high-growth Massachusetts startups with a focus on Deep Tech non-dilutive and dilutive funding with a further focus on diverse founders.
Dan Lipton, a principal in EY consulting service’s East Region Indirect tax practice, who focuses on state income/franchise tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, tax controversy, sales and use tax analysis, and credits and incentives. Lipton leads EY’s East Region state income/franchise tax practice. He also leads EY’s national state income tax lookback review strategy and is part of EY’s state income/franchise tax leadership team. Lipton was also elected as NELF’s Treasurer at its February Board meeting.
Natalie Logan, the Chief Legal Officer at Risk Strategies, a Boston-based company offering specialty insight, practical advice, and custom insurance with a vast network of specialists in property & casualty, employee benefits, private client, as well as consulting services, and financial and wealth management solutions. She previously worked as a Partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, specializing in advising private equity firms and their portfolio companies on a wide range of corporate, M&A and security matters.
Sarayu Srinivasan is a venture capitalist, entrepreneur and executive focused on technology and consumer companies in the US, India and emerging markets. Previously, Ms. Srinivasan served as a White House Presidential Innovation Fellow and Senior Advisor to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in the White House and at the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST); was an investor at Intel Capital; founded logistics platform KAARGO; and was at a series of successful early-stage technology companies and Pepsi earlier in her career.
