“Winslow’s Ten Tips for Civility” Featured in Worcester Telegram & Gazette

WORCESTER – The Worcester Telegram & Gazette, the daily newspaper of the second-largest city in Massachusetts, recently featured an op-ed by NELF President Dan Winslow on tips for civility at Town Meeting. Town Meeting is the local legislative branch for many New England communities, where voters are directly empowered to act as citizen legislators. “It’s important that citizen legislators set a high standard for civility in public life,” noted Winslow. “Our Members of Congress could learn a thing or two from our local traditions in New England. Let’s hope they’re paying attention.”
